Emails and Marketing
You will receive several emails during the process of your order. These are automatically generated and are to enable you to see the progress of your order. Additionally, I will occasionally send notifications of new product releases to past customers. These emails will have the option to unsubscribe. You also have the option to subscribe to receive email updates without making a purchase by completing the form.
Your email address and any other personal details held will never be sold, nor will they be passed to any 3rd party unless I am required to do so by law.
Reviews
When you leave reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the reviews form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your reviews, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your reviews.
Contact Form
The data you enter into the contact form is emailed to me. I will use this to answer your query before filing the email in a separate folder within my email system. The form is connected to Google’s ReCAPCHA system in order to filter spam. This service will receive the data you send, assess it and then decide whether it can be forwarded on to me. It does not retain a copy of data but will track the number of requests generated by my site. It may also track the broad location of the request. This data is not made available to me.
Orders
When you complete an order, your details are shared with the payment provider (WooCommerce Payments powered by Stripe, PayPal, Google Pay Checkout or Apple Pay Checkout depending upon what option you select) for the purposes of verifying and completing the payment. Your name, address, email address and any other information you enter during the Checkout process are shared with me to allow me to fulfil your order.
The system maintains a list of past orders for me to analyse and provide facilities for refunds. It does not retain your payment information. If you require any or all of your past orders removing from the system for additional privacy please use the contact form to make this request and I will action it as soon as possible.
Analytics
This site may make use of services such as Google Analytics, in order for me to glean high-level information about how my website is used. This data will consist of broad location (usually city/municipality and country), the ‘source’ of the visit (link from other website, directly typed into address bar etc) and the pages visited during the session. The data captured by this system does not contain personally identifiable information
Embedded content from other websites
Links and embeds to other websites are not permitted access to any personal data entered on this site, except where indicated above as part of your Checkout experience.
This website and its owner is not responsible for the content of external websites once you navigate away from this website.
Who we share your data with
Your personal data is not shared with any other party except in the contexts described above to enable checkout and payment. Neither your personal nor meta data is disclosed or sold to any 3rd party. However Any requests for this information from legitimate legal entities requiring that I disclose data will be honoured.
How long we retain your data
Your purchase history is maintained by the system for a minimum of 6 years (to comply with UK book-keeping requirements).
What rights you have over your data
You may ask me to disclose to you or erase any data held by the system. You will be required to prove your identity for me to be able to disclose data to you.
Your right to erasure does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Entries on the Contact form are sent to my email address. Data required to process your payments as part of the checkout process is sent to the payments provider. Details of your order, including the destination address are sent to my email address and are stored securely in the websites database
